Unleashing youth entrepreneurship as a force for good
Three years after its summit in Cartagena, Youth Business International (YBI) brought its global network back together in for the Global Youth Entrepreneurship Summit 2022. Over three days in The Hague, more than 170 delegates from 41 countries gathered under the theme Unleashing the power of youth entrepreneurship as a force for good.
After years of pandemic disruption, the stakes were high. This was a moment to reconnect, share learning and show how young entrepreneurs are tackling some of the world’s greatest challenges. The brand experience needed to feel fresh and inspiring, while maintaining consistency with the identity that delegates already recognised and trusted.

A force for good
The visual identity carried the summit’s theme of a force for good into every detail. Bold patterns, vibrant colours and photography of delegates in action gave the event an atmosphere that was both professional and human. From large-scale banners and stage screens to printed programmes and video storytelling, the design created a seamless experience that united people from around the world.
The programme also included a marketplace of Dutch youth-led businesses, giving delegates a direct connection to local entrepreneurs and grounding the summit in its host city.
The Global Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award
The 2022 summit introduced something new: public voting for the Global Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. To support this, we developed an interactive platform where people could explore the stories of nine finalists, watch short films, and cast their vote.
The response was significant: almost 8,000 votes were cast across three categories, transforming the awards into a global celebration that reached far beyond the room in The Hague.
Impact
The Global Youth Entrepreneurship Summit 2022 became one of YBI’s most engaging global gatherings:
- 170+ delegates from 41 countries participated in the event.
- The awards attracted almost 8,000 public votes, creating worldwide engagement beyond those attending in person.
- Winners were celebrated on stage, turning the awards into a moment of inspiration for YBI’s global network.
- Describing the summit, delegates said it was “like the whole world had come together in one space”, reflecting the sense of unity and energy the event created.
- The Dutch marketplace demonstrated how the summit connected global ambition with local action.
This event, our first major one after the pandemic, was so important to get right. Everglow really delivered, creating everything from a microsite with integrated ticketing to creative social media assets – all in line with our brand that our audiences trusted, but designed in a way that felt new and exciting. Crucially, their voting platform made it really easy for our audiences to connect with the finalists’ stories and cast their votes. Nearly 8,000 people took part, which is a result we couldn’t have been happier with!
