Uniting Youth Entrepreneurship worldwide

In June 2019, Youth Business International (YBI) brought together its global network for the Global Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (GYES) in Cartagena, Colombia. The event united more than 100 members, partners and supporters from 35 countries under the theme ‘Innovation for Impact’.

It was a milestone moment for YBI. The summit needed to inspire and energise a worldwide community of youth entrepreneurship leaders, while giving them a professional and memorable brand experience that matched the scale of their ambition.

A bold identity for a global summit

We were invited to create the brand and full event identity for the summit, ensuring that every touchpoint felt cohesive and inspiring. We developed a bold visual system that captured the theme of innovation and collaboration, then carried it across every element of the experience.

The work began with a vibrant event identity built around modular block lettering and playful geometry, which reflected the idea of building and shaping impact collaboratively. We then designed and built a microsite that became the central hub for delegates, providing the agenda, event details and live updates in a style that echoed the summit’s energy.

We also produced stage and venue signage, designed merchandise – including tote bags and reusable bottles – and created video content that introduced the summit and amplified its purpose. Everything worked together to immerse delegates in a single, unified brand from the moment they arrived.

Bringing the identity to life

Delegates arriving in Cartagena were immersed in the brand at every turn. The stage and venue design carried the modular block system through to large-scale signage, while merchandise like bags and bottles gave participants something to take away that reinforced both the identity and the event’s commitment to sustainability.

The microsite mirrored the look and feel of the physical space, creating a seamless connection between the digital and real-world experience. Video content introduced the event and gave the summit visibility beyond the walls of the venue, sharing its ambition and purpose with a wider global audience.

The result was a brand environment that elevated the experience and gave delegates the sense of being part of a truly global movement.
