Launching the #WeCanWeWill campaign

We have been working with Mind Cymru, Gofal and Hafal to create and launch the young persons programme for Time to Change Wales.
The campaign, #WeCanWeWill, is a Wales-wide mental health campaign aimed at young people between 14 – 24 years old. #WeCanWeWill aims to create a movement to bring people together and to promote conversation around mental health. Together, we can, we will change how people think and talk about mental health.
To mark the launch of the campaign, we held the #WeCanWeWill Launch Event with Time to Change Wales in Tramshed Tech. Inviting young people from across South Wales, including the 3 pilot schools involved in the project to join us for an evening of entertainment, talks and cupcakes.
The two speakers were Luke and Beth, two Time to Change Wales Young Champions. They each shared their story, being very honest about their experiences of mental health problems. Their openness was inspiring, and the more young people hear about other people’s experiences, the more likely they will come to feel comfortable speaking about it themselves.
We also had an amazing performance of the #WeCanWeWill poem by Anya accompanied by the Honest Poet, some brilliant live music from the Honest Poet, as well as a sneak preview of the campaign video…
Thank you to everyone who talked, performed and attended the #WeCanWeWill launch event, we thoroughly enjoyed it and we hope you did too!
Here are a few snaps from the event…
