Brighter Together: Our 2026 Glow For Good Partner
We are living in one of the most age-segregated countries in the world.
With an ageing population, a loneliness epidemic, and increasingly fragmented communities, many people in the UK have never felt more alone.
A study by Intergenerational England has found that 94% of children in the UK don’t live near anyone aged 65 or over, and only 7% of care home residents have regular interaction with someone under the age of 30.
This generational divide has a ripple effect across our society, causing a devastating rise in social isolation, loneliness and ageism.
This doesn’t only impact adults. Children with fewer opportunities to connect with older adults are at a greater disadvantage in terms of their life chances.
Introducing Brighter Together
Glow For Good is Everglow’s partner programme dedicated to supporting organisations that are creating meaningful change. Each year, we donate £15,000 worth of creative support to a grassroots charity, non-profit, or community organisation working to make a real difference.
This year, we’re proud to be partnering with Brighter Together, a remarkable charity built on a beautifully simple, but powerful idea: bringing older adults and early years children together through regular, structured, activity-based sessions. These shared experiences are designed to foster connection, joy, and understanding across generations.
In a world that often feels increasingly disconnected, Brighter Together is creating spaces where generations can connect and relationships can flourish.
Their sessions are proven to support wellbeing for older adults while also nurturing children’s development, creating moments of learning, empathy, and belonging for everyone involved.
This is a methodology supported by Intergenerational England, who shared that in the UK, over 80% of adults agree that mixing with people of different age groups can reduce loneliness and improve mental health.
Moments of genuine connection and purpose have never mattered more.
As Brighter Together looks ahead, it is preparing for an exciting new chapter. With ambitions to grow from a regional initiative into a national presence, they are reimagining how their brand and digital platforms can support that journey.
Why we’re working with Brighter Together
This year, we had the privilege of connecting with more than 50 extraordinary organisations from across the UK. Every application carried its own sense of purpose, care, and ambition. Moving forward with just one partner was no easy task, and we were genuinely inspired by the passion and dedication behind each story we were shared with.
We are so inspired by Brighter Together’s mission to help create a more connected and less lonely society in the UK. In a time of global division, we really feel that connection and empathy are the most important social currency. And that starts at home. In our own neighbourhoods and communities.
This year, our focus is on creating a digital presence that will support their next stage of growth, helping the charity connect with new regions, partners, supporters and replicate their model throughout the UK.
We are incredibly excited to partner with Brighter Together and to play a small part in supporting their mission.
We look forward to sharing our journey together. Keep your eyes peeled!
