It started with a feeling

The creative world is full of energy, ideas and talent. With so much happening across design, film, music and the arts, there was an opportunity to bring people together and celebrate it.

That was the spark behind It Will Glow, established by Joe Bonney, Rhi Leedam and Dan Sargent . They wanted to create something more open and inspiring: honest stories, a welcoming atmosphere and a room full of curious people.

A lit sign reading DEPOT hangs indoors between two colourful banners that say A woman stands on stage at a lectern, speaking into a microphone. Beside her, a large screen displays the event’s theme: It Will Glow, set against a vivid red-orange background at this inspiring indoor presentation.
A person wearing a white outfit holds a lanyard with a large badge that reads SPEAKER and features the It Will Glow logo, standing against a gradated blue and purple background. A hand holding a mobile phone displays an event agenda with times and playful descriptions on a dark background. The agenda features items like TAKU, SORRY YARZA TWINS!, THE AFTERGLOW, and the promise that It Will Glow.

Making it real

Every creative decision was driven by the same idea: make it feel warm, edgy and genuinely fun. The brand mixed nostalgic references with a modern sensibility. It was bold but never try-too-hard. The tone was confident and human, encouraging people to come as they are and take part on their own terms.

A person in a dark coat carries a blue tote bag with pink straps. The bag displays a vibrant matchbox illustration and the phrase “It Will Glow.” A graffiti-marked wall serves as the backdrop.

Shifting perspectives and igniting change

It Will Glow was a live expression of what we believe creativity should do.

In collaboration with Cardiff Design Festival, as well as our mates Dan Spain, Professor Olwen Moseley, Melin Edomwonyi and many other incredible, passionate people, the event saw more than 500 creatives come together for a shared experience that celebrated creativity as a force for good.

The speaker line-up included names like Mr Bingo and Anna Ginsburg, but what people remembered most was the energy in the room. The event also championed local talent through The Market, where artists and makers exhibited and sold their work alongside live music, conversation and plenty of space to connect.

At Everglow, we talk about using creativity to unite, shift perspectives and bring about change. It Will Glow gave us the chance to do exactly that – no barriers, no pretence, just shared experiences that reminded us why this work matters.

When you actually listen to other people’s talks who are completely different to what you do, it’s so refreshing and inspiring. Mind blown, basically! It’s really nice to get that little change of perspective on what creativity is or how to use it properly.
