Seventy years of service
Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee was a historic moment for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. It marked 70 years of service, unity and change, and stood as both a celebration of longevity and a tribute to a lifetime of dedication and leadership.
Sharing her story
Over her reign, The Queen guided the nation through decades of challenge and change, while remaining a constant presence in public life. Being part of this milestone meant creating something that not only honoured her legacy but also connected with people in a way that felt authentic and memorable.
We brought her story to life through film, drawing on archival footage to highlight the themes, values and defining moments of her reign.
The film series celebrated the Platinum Jubilee through four core themes: Our Queen, constant in culture, heartbeat of history, and life in service. Each one offered a different perspective on The Queen’s reign, creating a collective portrait of her legacy.
Our Queen
Our Queen explored The Queen’s connection to her people and the many ways she touched lives around the world. From awarding honours to ordinary people who achieved extraordinary things to the annual Christmas address, she was a constant and personal presence in millions of households.
Constant in culture
Constant in culture highlighted The Queen’s unique role in both British and global culture, from fashion and music to sporting events and the opening of iconic landmarks. Her reign spanned decades of rapid social change, yet she remained a familiar and unifying figure throughout.
Heartbeat of history
Heartbeat of history illustrated The Queen’s role as a human lens on history. She was a key presence through national tragedies such as Aberfan, Lockerbie and Grenfell, as well as moments of celebration including the Olympics and World Cup triumphs. It showed her ability to embody the nation’s resilience and unity in times of both grief and joy.
Life in service
Life in service traced The Queen’s journey of devotion to her role and her people. From the young woman who never expected to be monarch to the world’s longest-reigning Queen, it celebrated a lifetime of service that defined an era.
